Cutter’s Cry Strategy

Mob: Queen, Marshall, other ants “adds”
My party make up was this: WHM PLD DRG SMN

Ant Boss Fight: I’ll break down the responsibilities by jobs in this fight.

PLD: Keep hate/threat on the queen at all times. FLASHING/Provoking etc the ant adds as much as possible to keep threat away from the healer while dps burn them down. Keep in mind of the Queen’s cone if you’re helping out on the adds. Use Combo Fast Blade> Riot Blade for mp because you will be flashing a lot in this run.

*Keeping hate on the Queen is easy. You need to flash around and get the adds grouped together if possible. Makes it easier for DPS that way and it keeps it concentrated to a specific spot*

WHM: Keep everyone alive! Use Shrouds of Saint when you notice you’re pulling too much hate. Also keep echo drops on you. The Queen can silence you.

DPS: You need to single out the Ant with the name Marshall. This particular ant can heal the Queen. I had a Summoner use Titan to tank the Marshall while I tanked the queen and got adds under control and the dps and myself picked them off. A blm can use aoe bliz but single target spells seem to be more effective and created less hate toward the blm if you have one in your party.

Recap: PLD goes in vokes Queen. Once Queen gets to 50% she calls in the adds. PLD needs to rush over and flash the adds to mitigate dmg to healer and dps. If you have a summoner have them get the Marshall while DPS pick off adds. Once the adds are dead kill the Marshall and then focus on the Queen…rinse and repeat.

*The adds from what I’ve observed are infinite and can overrun the party*

Sandworm fight:
Primarily a tank and spank fight.

Strategy: Just be wary of 3 things

1.Sandworm puts a DOT on the player. WHM have esuna ready.

2.The Sandworm will burrow underground at around 50% hp. While underground he will attack via underground which is detected by the puff of sand that you will see. Avoid it.

3.Once Sandworm re-surfaces he hits whoever is within range. The next move Sandworm does is a sand swirling vortex. This moves pulls the party to the center of the arena. Just run back out toward the sides, otherwise you will suffer some heavy dmg.

Boss Fight Chimera:

Chimera has 4 moves to be aware off

1.Front cone attack that can do around 700-800 plus to a tank.

2.When Chimera eyes “LIGHT UP BLUE” run away from him. Chimera will do a close range AOE around him that does heavy damage and puts gravity on whoever gets hit

3.When Chimera eyes “LIGHT UP VIOLET” run away from him. Chimera will do a close range AOE around him that does heavy damage and puts gravity on whoever gets hit. Use Esuna to get rid of it.

4.Past 50% Chimera emits a blue ball that picks a random target (from what it looks like) that causes paralysis and some decent dmg to the player. Easily avoidable.

*Look in the chat window for the message of BLUE and VIOLET in case you miss the text across the screen*

Please feel free to add or correct me if I’ve mistaken something . Good Luck!
