As was mentioned during the Letter from the Producer LIVE Part IX, we'll be introducing a feature for the Duty Finder in patch 2.1 that will place you in a random dungeon in order to get people participating in a wider variety of dungeons. Specifically, we will be breaking down dungeon content into different categories such as leveling dungeons, level 50+ dungeons, and primal battles, and players will be matched for random content. You'll be able to challenge each category once every real-world day and as a reward you will receive each kind of Allagan tomestones. Participants will be matched with priority on content that is lacking members. Also, in order to strike a proper balance between this plan and the experience points gained by participating in FATE, we will be increasing the amount of experience points gained in dungeons in patch 2.1.
Yeah, I'm looking forward to this as well. I like the idea of challenging the three different categories every day and getting tomes. This will get more people into those previously "one-time use" instances and it won't be without reward. The XP boost will be great for leveling, as well.
Would be nice if they got the XP increase in before 2.1. Waiting until December seems a bit far off. I must be an oddity, until recently Lovely and I leveled only in dungeons and story quests (only hitting fates if they were around where the story took us).
That's how I leveled Xannder. I didn't really fate grind til I needed cross class stuff. Gallifrey has already heard me whining about it in teamspeak :)
I'm dubious. Unless queue times get better for DPS (read: they won't) then FATE grinding will still likely be the fastest way to 50 for the vast majority of people. It would take a pretty absurd increase to match the XP per hour once you factor in a 30+ minute wait.
