Not too conclusive… please be sure to include SparkNotes when attaching reddit arguments

Exactly, I do not find shield tests to be all that effective. Use what works or what looks cool. their stats are so similar it hardly matters. Except turn 5 for Gyo the Relic shield is required….

Although the one thing I will say about shields is that you should use the ones that make sense, so for things like T5 where you are getting your face mashed, don't use the damn onion shield that has low block power but high block chance. Onion shield would be more for groups of tiny adds that don't hit hard like T1 or something.

Suppose shield effectiveness is the exact same (meaning TOTAL damage mitigation averages out) the question becomes: Would you rather block more often for less damage reduction or block less often but for more damage?

Some would argue on hard hitters like Twintaco, you don't want to run the risk of a totally unmitigated "1 shot" and argue for the onion shield.

I realize the performance results are not exact same… but min/maxers have a mental illness to compare stats that close, that really isn't worth the effort
