A lot of people are confirming success and I also can confirm a few of these dropped around those local times for me too…

The idea is that all Atma have specific drop times, indicated by the list below:

Atma of the MAIDEN - Central Shroud - 1:00

Atma of the SCORPION - Southern Thanalan - 2:00

Atma of the WATER BEARER - Upper La Noscea - 3:00

Atma of the GOAT - East Shroud - 4:00

Atma of the BULL - Eastern Thanalan - 5:00

Atma of the RAM - Middle La Noscea - 6:00

Atma of the TWINS - Western Thanalan - 7:00

Atma of the LION - Outer La Noscea - 8:00

Atma of the FISH - Lower La Noscea - 9:00

Atma of the ARCHER - North Shroud - 10:00

Atma of the SCALES - Central Thanalan - 11:00

Atma of the CRAB - Western La Noscea - 12:00

AM/PM is irrelevant. The time appears to be local time, not server or Eorzea time.

I'm not buying that at all. I've been in zones for hours while people have come and gone. That sounds like….what do you call it BT, "Confirmation bias"?

I don't think I believe this but I'm going to log in and try it with scales, I've been trying for that one for days.

And yea, Jade, it seems like confirmation bias. I mean, I got my scorpion no where near that time local time am or pm. But I'm also desperate to get the fuck out of black brush lol

Yeah. I don't buy any of this…… and it wouldn't explain situations where people manage to get really lucky and find 1 Atma after another.

#FFXIV #AtmaTheory Did 3 in E.Shroud (JST time) no drop > did 3 in W. La Noscea (PST my time) no drop > back to E.Shroud did 3 no drop.

The prevailing theory behind this is that it increases your chance of a drop and that's all. Still agree with Jade though.
