Mayshar was my favorite and all time bad ass D&D character from WAY back in high school. The name has become my alter ego if you will, so I use it for every caster class I play in every game. I had to add the Lord part because FFXIV required a first and last name, but Mayshar does not have both names. He is also known as the Lord of Shadows, or the ShadowLord, so I figured it would be more fitting to give him a title.
Well, I was playing MLB The Show 09 and I made a starting pitcher. The game had a bunch of preloaded first and last names in it so that the announcers could say your name and whatnot. My name is Adam Grutz, seeing as there was no Grutz, I chose Grubbs. Thus, Lord Grubbs was born.
Midil is my Old Republic main's name. I got IT from ToR's random name gen. All my alts over here are my random Tor names with FF random last names. I too, am not very creative, so i love random name gen's… heh.
It comes from a language called High D'haran in a book series I read called the sword of truth. It has three meanings That pretty much sums up everything about the phrase in that link though for those interested.
Good book series, a little opinionated in terms of real world politics, but great character development. also the author blatantly has some deep issues with femdom and bdsm, but at least it made for some interesting tensions.
